Caitlin Stark, LMFT

Each person is unique, which is why I tailor my therapeutic approach so that it is appropriate and respects the individuality of each client. My goal as your therapist is to assist you in navigating your mental health journey while honoring your individual beliefs and integrating the strengths you bring into the therapy room into our work together.

I obtained degrees in Psychology, Music, and Women & Gender Studies and a Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have over eight years of research experience, two of which were spent researching executive functioning and eating disorders. I am a systems-based
therapist who works from a strengths-based, trauma informed, and feminist approach. I’m grateful to have had the experience of working in both a small outpatient setting, as well as working for a large healthcare organization, as I’m able to bring the skills I’ve learned from working in such different settings to my work in private practice.

As a systems-based therapist, I don’t believe in utilizing just one therapeutic approach. Therefore, I curate each session to fit the needs of each client. Some of the theories and approaches that I use are: Trauma-Informed Approach, Narrative Therapy, Structural Therapy, Strengths-Based Approach, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, HAES (Health At Every Size) Approach, and Psychodynamic.

In my practice I work with:
Teens (14+) and Adults
Women and Women’s Issues
Eating Disorders
Body Image
Anxiety
ADHD
Couples
