Rassamee Kahrs, MFT
Life presents to all of us seasons of uncertainty, tension,
and chaos as well as periods of harmony, joy, pleasure,
and every experience in between. Whether challenging or pleasant, every phase of our lives carries the potential for meaning, healing, and growth. My intention as a therapist is to cultivate a space where you are invited to express, explore, and feel through the terrain of your inner world – the realm of your emotions, thoughts, dreams, and perceptions.
My approach to therapy is integrative and draws from systemic, psychodynamic, and humanistic perspectives – together, we’ll explore how your values and lived experiences influence the ways in which you navigate and make sense of the world around you and within you. I aim to work in a way that is both warm and direct, placing emphasis on the power of self-reflection, honesty, emotional expression, responsibility to self and others, and pursuing changes that align with your vision for your life.
Areas of therapeutic interest include depression, anxiety, trauma, exploration of identity, relationship dynamics, spirituality, and the integration of psychedelic or non-ordinary state experiences, among others. I come from a multicultural background, am a member the LGBTQ+ community, and enjoy dancing and being in nature in my free time. I completed my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin, and am currently supervised by Alex Einsman, LMFT.
